New 2023 GMC Acadia Redesign, Review, Specs, Model – GMC Acadia 2023 is right around the corner. GMC recently announced that the next generation of Acadia needs major upgrades. Acadia’s first generation was launched in 2007 as an Acadia, a three-row full-size crossover.
GMC launched it ten years later as a midsize crossover, which was considerably smaller than the original. According to our information, the third-generation model could be much more powerful than the original. The new model will be produced sometime in the next year. We can expect the Honda Pilot and Dodge Durango as the main competitors. We have all the information we could find about this SUV.
New 2023 GMC Acadia Redesign
The new GMC Acadia 2023 should be more appealing in terms of design. According to reports, the next generation of GMC Acadia will be larger but will retain the same lines as the predecessor. The current model’s exterior design is distinctive and conservative. The new one will keep it that way.
It is elegant and can be modified depending on the trim. The massive grille and well-shaped headlights make the base model the most prominent on the front. If you want more individuality, the manufacturer also offers the AT4 off-road-ready model and the Denali trim. The AT4 offroad model comes standard with AWD, all-terrain tires, and hill descent control. Denali has a unique chrome grille.
The brand’s luxury and mainstream design will be reflected in the cabin of the GMC Acadia 2023 GMC Acadia. Expect more premium materials but not as much as the Acura MDX. The interior is very practical and the first two rows are quite spacious. The third row is best for taller passengers or children. You can choose from a variety of interior designs, particularly the Denali upper trim. This trim features a premium interior, including heated 2nd-row seats and a heated steering column. Wireless charging is also available.
Even the entry-level model offers many features. The standard infotainment system features an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a Bluetooth keyboard. The GMC Pro Safety Plus package includes automatic emergency braking and front pedestrian braking. It also features parking sensors, lane-keeping assist, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change alert.
GMC Acadia 2023 will have two engine options. The previous model had a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated inline-4 engine. However, the new model will have a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder inline-4 as its base engine. GMC claims that this powertrain is capable of producing 230 horsepower and 258 lb. ft. This engine is also very efficient, achieving 22/29 mpg in city/highway (FWD), 22/27 mpg with AWD. It gives Acadia an impressive fuel economy, especially for an SUV of this size.
A 3.5-liter naturally aspirated, naturally aspirated V6 is the next option. It’s also available under some GMC models. This engine is standard on AT4 and Denali trims and produces 310 horsepower and 271 pounds-feet of torque. This engine is not as efficient as the base engine and has a lower rating. It has a fuel efficiency of 19/27 mpg in FWD and 19/26 in AWD. The V6 engine is stronger and can tow a maximum of 4,000 pounds. Acadia models are standard with both a 9-speed manual transmission and FWD.
